We are looking for a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to join GreenSlate on the Engineering Enablement team.  If you are the type of person who thrives when faced with challenges, isn’t phased by a fast pace of change, and are willing to learn new skills and techniques in the exciting area of test automation then you’ll fit right in. 

As a QA Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of our flagship software product, ultimately delivering superior customer experiences. Your daily responsibilities will be diverse, often including the creation and maintenance of automated test cases for both the API and UI layers of GreenSlate's desktop and mobile applications. You will also be responsible for analyzing automated test execution results and continually strengthening our automation framework. 

This role will work closely with Development, Product and Engineering Enablement, to ensure all processes and best practices are followed to improve overall quality during GreenSlate’s software development process.   

This role is remote within Costa Rica.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU

  • Collaborate with the different project teams to gather both technical and business requirements to identify opportunities for test automation
  • Maintain testing frameworks
  • Planning and estimating automation-related tasks
  • Design, develop, maintain, review, and execute well-structured automated test suites. This will involve utilizing a combination of tools and patterns, including Selenium WebDriver with Java, TestNG, the Page Object Model approach, C#, Playwright, and Screenplay patterns.
  • Document, track and drive resolution of defects and/or production issues
  • Integrate tests with the Jenkins pipeline and executing ad-hoc tests as required
  • Monitor pipeline jobs and troubleshoot test and pipeline failures

WHO YOU ARE

  • You hold a university degree in System Engineering or a related field and/or possess ISTQB Foundation certification. 
  • You have 2+ years of experience in software quality assurance and at least 1 year of hands-on experience with automated testing tools.
  • Experience with development of automated tests using tools such as: Java, Selenium,  TestNG, C#, Playwright  to evaluate the functionality of user interfaces and APIs
  • 1+ years of practical experience of REST API testing tools, such as Postman or SoapUI as well as designing and maintaining API and data driven testing frameworks
  • Self-motivated, independent thinker with excellent communication skills
  • Having practical experience with a variety of test automation tools/frameworks to test web and mobile applications.

SALARY RANGE:

$2800/mo
